Feeling Better and Losing Weight
Lisa came highly recommended by a professional contact who had used her. The first thing to say is that this is not a diet per-se. More a re-examination of your relationship with food and what constitutes food and a focus on what your body needs.
I consider myself to be an active person, who exercises regularly and I live an active life. However, I've never been on a diet and I eat the same mix of what I thought was good and bad food as more or less everyone I know. Lisa encouraged us to consider different ingredients and adopt an entirely new palette of dishes that suit our bodies needs better than some of the foods we've been eating simply because that's what everyone eats!
At no point has this felt like a hair-shirt exercise, or an exercise in starvation in order to chase an imaginary idea weight, if anything I eat more (in terms of volume) than I did before. I very rarely weigh myself but, out of curiosity, I did step onto my scales at the start of this exercise and then again a couple of times as we went along.
The net effect is that after eight weeks of following Lisa's programme, I have gone from 98kg to 85kg, which now allows me to wear some horrible suits from the 1980's!
I'm probably a bit of an extreme example of how this can work, as I don't drink and I have quite a reasonable programme of exercise in place, but if you want to feel better and lose some weight along the way, I can't recommend this regimen highly enough.

Generally, I lead a reasonably healthy energetic lifestyle, but I had lost my way with food, what to eat and what to cook. I love food and I love to eat. But, I was feeling undernourished, exhausted all the time and generally unhappy with how I felt in my skin!
Lisa has gently guided me to regain my love for eating well and cooking gorgeous fulfilling meals which in turn have stopped my dreadful snacking habits. I was finding when I had no one to cook for I would sit and eat a family-sized bag of crisps and family-sized packets of chocolates instead of making a meal for myself.
It has been hard work and effortless at the same time. Lisa has got me very organised, writing menus weekly and shopping in advance. Not only has it taken the stress out of the daily “what shall I cook for dinner” scenario, but it also means I’m eating really healthy, well balanced nourishing meals and the food waste is minimal. What I don’t eat for dinner, I have for lunch the following day, or I freeze.
I have more energy, I lost the desire to snack mindlessly and gained a sense of renewed purpose for myself and my family whilst in lockdown. I cannot thank Lisa enough for her tough love, or her kindness and compassion when needed.

8 weeks ago I sat down with my new nutritionist & wellness coach Lisa Blane. Not because I was unhappy with the way I look, but because I was desperately unhappy with the way I was feeling.
I have always had a fantastic relationship with food, anyone that truly knows me well will tell you I like to eat. I’ve led an athletic lifestyle my entire adult life and I have always been a healthy eater for obvious reasons and up until 12 months ago, I was happy with my choices.
However, somewhere along the way, I became very unsatisfied with all my food. It didn’t matter if I was eating super healthy, eating in, eating out or eating my “SO-CALLED CHEAT MEALS”. I was not feeling the way I should have been and given my years in the health & fitness industry, and continuously preaching about how to lead a better life, I myself was unsatisfied. I was consistently low in energy and felt my performance as an endurance athlete was becoming massively inconsistent.
As I said, when I sat down for the first time with Lisa to discuss my nutrition it was not because I wanted or needed to lose weight or change my shape. I wanted her to help me understand why I was hungry morning, noon and night and waking up on a regular basis in the middle of the night with a deep hunger.
I had been eating pretty much the same way for many years and this is where Lisa immediately identified my first problem: despite what I thought, I was not eating nearly enough (music to my ears!).
Verdict: I was undernourished which I simply could not believe. My nutrient balance was completely off and finally, the answers to why I was feeling so bad have become ever so clear.
Immediate changes were made and the effort on my mind & body were instant and visible in a few short weeks. Lisa’s attention to detail and guidance has given me the body shape that I wanted.

No more snacking
Lisa really helped me to understand how to achieve a balanced diet and a healthy mindset when it came to food. I needed advice as I was working out a lot, I was constantly hungry and snacking on foods that weren’t doing anything for me nutritionally, nor were they filling me up.

I’m a 45-year-old busy working Mum. I went through menopause early at 43 and suffered from every symptom it can throw at you. My head was in a bad way and my body just wasn’t doing what it was supposed to do despite regular exercise and what I THOUGHT was a relatively healthy diet.
